Children of all ages have a lot in common and they learn a lot from each other! This group will have a variety of parent-child activities to do together when you arrive. After a brief circle time, parents will move into a discussion group to unpack common parenting topics while children remain with an early childhood teacher for a marvelous time of learning. Fees for the program are based on the annual gross income of your household. We appreciate your honesty as our program relies on the fees we receive from participants. Financial assistance is available and no one will be denied participation due to inability to pay.

Bring your team spirit and join the Dutchmen Cheerleaders for this camp! You will learn cheers, jumps, stunting, and more! Those attending the camp are invited to cheer at the first half of the football game on October 9. Free admission for the football game as well as a t-shirt and hair bow is included. If you register after September 30, no shirt will be provided. Please have your student wear a purple Melrose Dutchmen T-shirt or a Plain purple color T-shirt.

Grow your musical skills with half-hour private lessons in piano or flute Lessons are held on Tuesdays between 4:00–8:00 pm at Melrose Area Schools. When you register, please indicate your preferred time, and the instructor will contact you to schedule your exact lessons time. Students must have their own instrument at home for practice. We like ice on our lakes for fishing but not on are driveways causing slipping. The most common technique to get rid of it is using salt, but the overapplication of salt is causing pollution problems in our waterbodies. Chloride is a pollutant that’s almost impossible to remove onceit’s in a lake or stream. Road and sidewalk safety is a must, but it doesn’t have to come at the price of good water quality. Join us to learn about the chloride problem and how you can make a difference.

Join Ms. Jennifer at the Melrose City Center to listen to stories, do small/large motor activities, and create a craft to take home to share with your family! This is for children ages 1 to 5 and their family. This is a free event that is sponsored by the Melrose Area Schools ECFE program.
