F.A.S.T. Kids-Staying Safe While Home Alone, ages 7-10/Youth EnrichmentFirst Aid and Safety Trained Kids (F.A.S.T.) is a 4 hour course for 7-10 year olds. This course helps prepare children for staying safe at and away from home. Lessons cover basic first aid, water safety, vehicle safety, home emergencies, injury prevention, stranger, and internet safety. Future Rosettes Dance Camp, Grades 3-6Youth RecreationThis camp will be put on by the Melrose Rosettes! This is a great introduction to dance team for any dancers who have dreams of being on the Melrose Rosettes in the future. This camp will include a warm up routine, stretching, dance technique, choreography, and some fun team bonding activities. Dancers will have the opportunity to dance with the Melrose Rosettes in the Melrose Riverfest Parade. Dancers should wear clothing they feel comfortable moving and grooving in. Lifeguard ClassYouth EnrichmentLearn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies with the American Red Cross lifeguard training. Our courses are designed to arm you with the skills and knowledge to prepare you for a variety of scenarios in and around the water. With our lifeguard training, you will learn how quick response times and effective preparation are vital to being a lifeguard while also understanding the crucial elements in helping to prevent drownings and injuries. Students will do coursework online and will do one day of classroom & Pool testing. Students must be 15 years old by the last day of class. Class will be held in Middle School Room 314 and the Pool. Marvelous Mixed Age ECFEEarly Childhood Family EducationChildren of all ages have a lot in common and they learn a lot from each other! This group will have a variety of parent-child activities to do together when you arrive. After a brief circle time, parents will move into a discussion group to unpack common parenting topics while children remain with an early childhood teacher for a marvelous time of learning. Fees for the program are based on the annual gross income of your household. We appreciate your honesty as our program relies on the fees we receive from participants.
