This camp will be put on by the Melrose Rosettes! This is a great introduction to dance team for any dancers who have dreams of being on the Melrose Rosettes in the future. This camp will include a warm up routine, stretching, dance technique, choreography, and some fun team bonding activities. Dancers will have the opportunity to dance with the Melrose Rosettes in the Melrose Riverfest Parade. Dancers should wear clothing they feel comfortable moving and grooving in. Register by June 15 to guarantee a t-shirt.

Get ready for a sweet blend of science and fun! In Ice Cream Science, youth will explore the cool chemistry behind one of their favorite treats. Through hands-on experiments, they’ll learn how ingredients transform into ice cream, discover the role of temperature and salt in freezing, and see science in action as they stir and mix their way to delicious results. After making their own batch, participants will enjoy tasting their creations —and the best part? They’ll take home their homemade ice cream to share with family and friends.

This baseball program for boys and girls will focus on baseball skills, teamwork and having fun. For children going into grades 1-3 in 2026-27. We are in need of parents for each team to help assist the student coach. Parents who volunteer to coach, receive free registration for their child. In case of rain the program will be cancelled that evening. Please register by May 23 to guarantee a t-shirt.

Children of all ages have a lot in common and they learn a lot from each other! This group will have a variety of parent-child activities to do together when you arrive. After a brief circle time, parents will move into a discussion group to unpack common parenting topics while children remain with an early childhood teacher for a marvelous time of learning. Fees for the program are based on the annual gross income of your household. We appreciate your honesty as our program relies on the fees we receive from participants. Financial assistance is available and no one will be denied participation due to inability to pay.

We will discuss levels of threat and ways to defuse a potentially violent encounter. You will learn ways to defend yourself though attacking weak points on the body, and how to escape holds and grabs. This class is a mix of lecture and hands-on training. Please wear comfortable clothing. Families are encouraged to attend together, but be aware that adult topics and discussions will be presented.
