9:00 AM: Observations of the Sky: perfect for younger friends
We will investigate the changes that occur in the sky in a 24-hour day by observing and describing the changes in the position of the Sun, Moon, and stars.
9:40 AM: Zoom! From the Earth to the Edge of the Universe
The audience decides which objects in space to visit in this program, from Earth to the edge of the observable universe and anywhere in between. The journey will help students appreciate the scale of the Solar System, galaxy, and universe, the vast distance separating these objects, and how these objects change over time.
10:30 AM: Seasons, Phases, Eclipses
Our Minnesota sky changes throughout the day, and across the seasons. Students will learn how to make observations about the sky: noticing constellations, planets, and the changing positions of the sun and moon.
